Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Cantio, an app operated by Hyper App Studios ("we", "us", "our") that creates personalized songs from details you provide. By downloading or using Cantio, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Cantio lets you create a personalized song for someone by entering their name, an occasion, and (optionally) a personal memory or story. This information is used to generate lyrics and music through third-party AI providers. Songs are for personal use and are stored on your device.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cantio. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may only use Cantio with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Your content

You're responsible for the names, memories, and details you enter into Cantio. You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that violates someone else's rights (including privacy or intellectual property rights). We may refuse to generate, or may remove, content that violates these Terms.

You grant us the right to process the details you submit through our AI providers solely to generate your song, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions — Cantio Plus

• Cantio Plus is an auto-renewing subscription (weekly or yearly), billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
• Where offered, a free trial converts automatically into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your device's account settings — Cantio itself cannot process cancellations directly, as required by Apple/Google.

5. Song credits

Song credits are one-time purchases that let you generate additional songs outside of your subscription allowance. Purchased credits do not expire, but they are consumed once used to generate a song and are non-refundable except where required by Apple's or Google's refund policies.

6. Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests must be made directly through the App Store or Google Play, following their respective refund policies — we are not able to issue refunds directly.

7. Ownership of generated songs

You may use the songs Cantio generates for personal, non-commercial purposes (for example, sharing them with the person the song is about). Cantio's lyrics and music are generated using third-party AI systems; we don't guarantee that a generated song is wholly unique or free of similarity to other works, and we make no warranty as to its originality or fitness for commercial use.

8. Third-party services

Cantio relies on third-party services (including Anthropic, Suno, and RevenueCat) to generate songs and process purchases. We are not responsible for outages, delays, or content-quality issues originating from these providers, though we'll do our best to help if something goes wrong.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Cantio is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hyper App Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Cantio, including any dissatisfaction with a generated song.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Cantio for any user who violates these Terms. You may stop using Cantio at any time by deleting the app.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Cantio after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed by Hyper App Studios], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
